Ok, so I know there's a general convention of thoughts or the speech of others being put into italics but...
I'm sick of telepathic dialogue written in <brackets> fucking with the html. So from now on, I think I'm goin to denote psychic speech with *stars* instead.
Also, I'd like to stick to the trick I used in Malice's first post, where speech that would be in a foreign language with subtitles if this were filmed (or denoted with <brakets> again if it were comics) is going to be in {brackets}.
My virgoness demanded I make this an official declaration of intent. And because I'm a bit worried it'll confuse or annoy the hell out of people who aren't doing this. |

Actually if you turn off the HTML code and use BB, you can get away with the <>
But I like the {foreign language} brackets. |

| Mmm, but if you knock off the html, don't the signatures turn back into code? Am I wrong, or is there any other way around that, 'cause that's the assumption I've been working on and I like being able to leave sigs at the end of each post for character reference... |

The way around it is for our Mel to go get herself a [center][/center] mod from phpbbhacks  Then you can safely turn off html because you can replace your center tags in your signature, and use the url= bbcode instead of a href.
Failing that, upgrade to phpbb3 where we can have any and all html tags converted into bbcode through the custom bbcode option

Ooh, cool, so does that mean putting telepathy in brackets would be ok as long as it's in <<double>>?
And if a regular sig is: <center><a href="webaddress">character name</a></center>, how do I write that in BBCode? |
